Originally written by Shahid Mahmud Jangi and composed by Pilu Khan, Aj Je Shishu first appeared on Renaissance’s 1993 album Tritiyo Bishwo. Over the years, the song has remained one of the band’s most enduring and emotionally resonant works.

According to Naquib Khan, the remake was never intended as a commercial project. Instead, it was created to raise awareness about children’s rights and important social issues, emphasizing that the song’s message remains just as meaningful today as it was over 30 years ago.

Bappa Mazumder also shared his admiration for the classic, saying its unforgettable melody and emotionally powerful lyrics continue to resonate across generations. He expressed that joining the project alongside Naquib Khan, Partha Barua, and Pilu Khan was an opportunity he embraced without hesitation.
While preserving the emotional essence of the original composition, the new arrangement blends modern musical elements to ensure the song reaches younger audiences without losing its timeless identity.
